These systems are widely used in the dilution process of acids for removing the heat evolved during the process. Our units are appreciated by the clients for their efficient performance and excellent resistance to corrosive acids. It comprises a mixing chamber placed at its top followed by a multi –pass cylindrical block type heat exchanger that sucks in the heat evolved during dilution. The mixing chamber where 98% concentrated Sulphuric Acid & Di-mineral water is mixed constitutes of hollow cylindrical impervious graphite block with baffles inside it. We make use of multi pass cylindrical impervious graphite blocks mounted in a cylindrical MS shell to fabricate the heat exchanger assembly where the final solution is mixed & cooled. The radical passage of the blocks acts as the track for the flowing of cooling water. In order to curb the dilution temperatures of upto 1700C, the solution is made to pass in the axial boles of the top block & circulate though the axial holes of the middle blocks. The acid received after the dilution moves with the help of the multiply pass heat exchanger where it is continuously cooled. Finally the diluted sulphuric acid that has been concentrated & temperature is collected at the bottom nozzle of the unit. We offer these units in the following capacities:
Dilution process of 98% concentrated acid upto required level is very common in chemical Industry. While diluting the Sulphuric Acid a large quantity of heat is evolved during the process this heat is to be removed with proper design equipment called GCI – Acid Dilution Unit which operates with high efficiency resistance to highly corrosive acids.Construction & Operation :
GCI – Acid Dilution Unit consists of a mixing chamber at the top of the equipment followed by a multi –pass cylindrical block type heat exchanger which absorbs the heat during the process of dilution.
98% concentrated Sulphuric Acid & Di-mineral water are mixed in the mixing chamber consists of hollow cylindrical impervious graphite block with baffles inside it. Nearly 50% mixing process is complete in this stage.
Heat exchanger assembly is made from a multi pass cylindrical Impervious Graphite Blocks mounted in a cylindrical MS shell. Final mixing & cooling of the solution takes place in this Heat Exchanger. Cooling water flows through the radial passage of the blocks. Dilution heat which is raise up to 170°C. will be removed in the Heat Exchanger by passing the solution in the axial boles of the top block &circulates though the axial holes of all the middle block. The diluted acid passes through the multiply pass heat exchanger where it is continuously cooled. The dilution Sulphuric Acid at designed temperature & concentration is continuously achieved from the bottom nozzle of the unit.Capacity Available:
